Well, there is a first time for everything and Saturday was our my first triathlon. It was a mini one that we decided to do in order to practice for our real one. Don't worry, this one felt real enough. I was nervous, and it nearly killed me. Maybe that's because we were trying to win, not just finish. It was a lot of fun and gave us a good idea of how prepared we are for the longer distances.

It was still pretty cold and we didn't start until 10:00am. But getting on a bike all wet equals cold! If you would like a challenge I would say try and put on bike short while wet and in a hurry.

The run was the hardest part. It is the weirdest feeling to get off the bike and try and convince your legs to run.

Oh, I don't think I could have done it without my biggest fan. He is even holding a bell to ring. I have to say my crowning moment was crossing the finish line and hearing, "there's your mom! Way to go!" I thought, wow I am a MOM and I just did a triathlon, I am proud of myself. Anyway, it was just what we needed to stay motivated and rededicate ourselves to training.

NICE WORK!!! Just imagine a big huge hug from me. I'm so proud of you. It looks like you did an amazing job and you look fantastic- you're a natural. I'm excited to see you this weekend and hear more about it. Is that a finisher's medal, or did you place?
You are so awesome!! It looked like a lot of fun. You look so official in all of your gear. I bet Talmage was so proud of his mom.
