I love Triathlons! You should do one too!
Wow! Our triathlon was so much fun. I felt great afterwards and can't wait to do another one. I have to thank Brandon, Talmage, and my mom for being there to cheer me on and support me. Also, all of Shandee's family and friends who included me in their cheering. I took 99 out of 500. The swim was totally chaotic, considering we were put into the pool 10 seconds apart. People everywhere! The bike and run course had a monster hill which we did twice on the bike and then ran up it. Killer. Seriously, it was so much fun. I felt accomplished and proud. It is the perfect triathlon to do for your first one. All women (every shape, age, and size), and only 500 participants. We got cute shirts, pink swim caps, pink TYR bags, necklaces, chocolate, and other fun freebies. So, any of you out there who are interested, I recommend this one.
Before the race, feeling the butterflies and wishing we could just hurry up and start!
This is me, exiting the pool. I kind of look... manly but that's okay it was awesome!
The bike was the same loop twice, that's why we had to do the hill twice. I now enjoy biking and for a novice that is saying something.
Sprinting for the finish line. 23 min. 5K felt good after the swim and bike.
The, "I did it" smile! Brandon was so cute. He was beaming with pride for me and I loved every second of it. Talmage was busy ringing a cow bell, it was adorable. Honestly I only have positive things to say!

I'm thrilled that you had such a great time. What an accomplishment, and I love that they gave chocolate and pink bags. I'd love to chat with you. I need you to call me sometime so I can get your number back in my phone (my old phone died and I am missing tons of numbers). Anyway, good work, you're my hero.
