Well, we have much to be thankful for. I definitely take good health for granted until it is gone. We had a lovely Thanksgiving with lots of good food, and excellent company. We went to the Rupp family feast first. We still get together at a church with my grandpa and his 3 siblings and their families. It is usually quite the event. A little smaller this year due to lots of people out of town. After dinner my grandpa and his two sisters and his sister in law were sort of a panel and we could ask questions. I was shocked to hear a story from my grandpa that said he wasn't very active in the church when he was a teenager because as a deacon he was passing the sacrament and a guy told him to hold the tray up because he wasn't going out to feed the hogs. He didn't go back until he met my grandma and started going again with her. What an interesting thing to discover when you consider that my grandparents had 9 children, all of which served full-time missions and were married in the temple. They have hundreds of posterity, active in the church. It made me think about the impact we can have on others without even knowing it. There probably was a better way, or a better time when my young grandpa could have been taught to hold the tray up. It also made me realize that in many ways, my grandma was the best thing that ever happened to him. I hope to be a spouse like that! My grandpa often shares his testimony and I love and admire him. He is a good man and I am grateful for his example.
We also went the Burt thanksgiving and enjoyed being with all the Burts. I have to say they are the only family who eats appetizers before the thanksgiving meal. I'm full before we even start! It was a long day but lots of fun. We ended by playing a few rounds of hearts until I started to not feel that well. On the drive home from Bountiful to Layton, I had Brandon pull over in Centerville so I could puke up everything I'd eaten that day. The vomiting didn't stop until around 4:00am. It wasn't fun. Which brings me back to the start of this post, and being grateful for good health. We were sick, sick, sick for a while there and I am so glad to be feeling much better. I put up the Christmas decorations today while listening to some great Christmas music. Nothing better to get you in the spirit of things. I have pictures and will do that later. Happy Holidays!

My family also had appetizers before Thanksgiving dinner and I felt sad to not have much room for the actual dinner. Note to self... stop eating so much. :) I'm glad you are feeling better. It's crummy to feel sick. Hope all is going well.
Oh being sick after thanksgiving? That has got to be the worst. I'm sorry. That's a very cool story about your grandpa though.
Rin,
That little boy of your is sure cute. I can't believe how fast he is growing. My dad said he ran into your dad the other day so I was just thinking of you guys. Hope all is well. Happy Holidays. Amy
Hey Marinda, I'm sorry I missed your birthday. I hope you had a wonderful one. I did think of you on the 7th, but then got sidetracked and never let you know how great you are. I love you, have a great Birthday month :)
