Moving Day!

Well, we are in our new home and loving it.  I documented a little bit of the process.  It actually went quite smoothly and quickly.  I would say we are completely unpacked other than food storage (we need to build shelves first).  We had lots of help from family, neighbors, and new neighbors.  Everyone has been super welcoming and I think we'll fit right in.  The pictures of the house aren't great but I wanted to post something.

Rigdon being a good baby during the chaos.
My new kitchen.  It's beautiful and the pantry is huge.  Gotta love the little things.  This picture is taken from the family room.  It is all very open, which is what I wanted most.
The living room.  Can't even see the desk because there wasn't a good angle.
The dining room.  It's not that dark but outside was too bright for the picture to turn out.  My table and chairs actually fit.  In the old house it was squeezed in, to the point that you had to climb over the chairs to get out because you couldn't walk behind them.
The family room.  Taken from the dining room.
The fire place.  It's fun.  I love having a mantle.

I'll have to get a picture of the outside.  It's a two story, 3 car garage, wrap around porch.  NO YARD, which will hopefully change if it ever stops snowing.  The yard is big though and it will be so fun to have a big garden and playset and patio.  4 bedrooms upstairs.  Including the master and master bath, another bath, and the laundry room.  I'm liking the laundry room upstairs but still have to get used to it.
You basically saw everything on the main level other than the mud room and half bath and entry way.  The basement is unfinished with room to grow.

It's located in a circle and every street within a five mile radius is flat and I feel like I could run for days.  (Now I just need to find time to run with three kids).  Everyone in our circle has kids.  Ranging from age 13 to expecting.  We haven't attended the ward yet and this week is stake conference so we are officially calling free for a couple of weeks.

Speaking of that, Brandon was released from the bishopric last week.  It was an emotional meeting as I'm sad to leave such good people.  Brandon hasn't sat with us since Talmage was 6 months old so it will probably take some getting used to him.  I gladly welcome the challenge. ;)

Life is really good and I feel very blessed.  Honestly I feel like the windows of heaven have been opened the last couple of years and we had to MOVE because there wasn't enough room to receive them.  I have had my tired/stressed/crying moments, with moving, three little kids, and continuous cold weather, but ultimately I'm grateful.

Adeline is definitely entering the "twos" and it's amazing how even with her limited vocabulary she manages to have such an attitude and push Talmage's buttons.  I will secretly admit that I see myself and my brother in my two oldest.  I still push my brother's buttons to get a reaction.  It might be the death of me as a mother though.  Talmage is super dramatic about it too.  "MOM, Adeline is saying "uh uh" to me." Which for some reason totally bugs him and she does it non-stop.  Seriously kids!

Rigdon is smiling and it's a breath of fresh air to have him sweetly smile and make eye contact.  Why do they grow up so fast?

Okay well, I think that is enough for now.  I TRULY want to have everyone I know over so that I don't do such a bad job at staying in touch but I need sod first.  Be patient with me!

I am coming over to see you even if you don't have any sod. I want to see you, the baby and the house. I will be in Utah Saturday and am there for 4 weeks. So....expect me to show up on your doorstep. Well since I don't know your new place I will have to call you before hand. Love the house. Super jealous. But way happy for you. We are still doing the whole negotiating thing. Hopefully the next few days will bring good news.

Yay! It's BEAUTIFUL! Truly. It sounds like you are in a neighborhood like ours...kids the same age, they run in packs outside in the summertime, neighbors that are your friends...it's awesome. And to feel like it's a place to grow into and spend years there...what a great feeling! Your kids are so very cute!

I am so excited for you. I wish I could jump on a plane and come see you and your beautiful house. I love the kitchen and I'm sure the giant pantry will be so great. (I think extra space and enough room for things definitely makes it easier to keep things clean). It all looks so great.

I'm excited to hear more about the new ward and neighborhood. how many miles did you move from your last house?
