I just looked for some photos to post so that I could write something and apparently I need to get my camera out and capture the every day happenings in our life. Nothing too exciting, that's for sure.
Here's the latest:
Talmage got his foot x-rayed the other day after jumping off of something. He sprained the ball of his foot it turns out. He limped for a couple of weeks but never really complained. Talmage is really trying hard to keep his underwear dry at night. (Has anyone else experienced this with a boy?) He wants to sooo bad but is such a deep sleeper. Needless to say neither him nor I are getting to sleep through the night as I am waking him up to go. He sure is proud in the morning when he's been successful so we'll keep moving forward.
Adeline is saying the cutest things lately. She has always been a good talker and easy to understand. Lately she has been telling me, "Maya (insert a different name every day) is my best friend ever!" The other night she told me, "I want Dad to put me in my pajamas, because he's my best friend." She is chewing gum and not swallowing it, and loves to write the letter A. Lately she has been saying "she" instead of "her". It makes me smile. "I want she to come over". With the ability to talk well comes a little spit fire too. I just laugh most of the time. My mom of course says she's just like me... maybe that's why I like her so much! :)
Rigdon is on the verge of walking. He is efficiently cruising the furniture and now ventures a step away before sitting down to crawl. He has avoided the stairs, despite having been crawling and pulling up for several months now. Well, little did I know he was just working up the courage to conquer them all in one go. The other day I ran upstairs to change the laundry, leaving him downstairs playing and the next thing I knew he was up there with me. The best part is how thrilled he was with himself. Oh man, that opens up a whole new challenge for me. He is already figured out how to open up all my cupboards and drawers and often empties them. He pulled out a casserole dish the other day and it shattered while I was making dinner. He's busy! He also turns 1 this week, which I can't believe. I know I'll have pictures of that!
Me: I just signed up for a healthy living challenge. 8 weeks of exercise and eating right. It's got a cash prize and it's just the motivation I needed. I'm on the count down for an adult trip in April. It's nice to have something to look forward to.
Brandon is busy but well. He is playing basketball in a league and he takes me on a date weekly. He is in scouts and loving hanging out with the YM. Work keeps him busy. Oh yeah, watch for the new Burt Brothers commercial.
Well that's all. Stay tuned for a one year old birthday bash.

Good job on your update. I havent been taking many pictures as of late either, nothing to exciting about our everyday routine!! Mason will be 4 the end of this month and he still wears a pull up at night. He is a very deep sleeper. Some mornings he wakes up dry. Addie grew out of it so fast and hardly had to wear a pull up at all, but little brother has not quite followed the same pattern. My ped said that they will all grow out of it and it's just hard for some kids that get in the deep sleep cycle. No worries though. You are more of a dedicated mother than I am, to get out of bed every night!! Maybe someday.... And CRAZY that you little guy is a year!! I could cry that they try to grow up so darn fast!
Good update. Checking other and posting to my blog has fallen by the wayside for me lately so it was fun to get caught up on yours!
When Nick was potty training my pediatrician told me not to worry about the night time thing. She said that it's something in their brains that just clicks all of the sudden and that it's nothing to worry about until they are 7 years old. She recommended that I just keep my kids in a diaper or pull up at night and when they woke up dry consistently for about a week that that meant it had clicked (whatever "it" is.). And that's what happened with both of my boys. I do have a friend who's son was 6 before he stayed dry at night, but it was the same kind of thing -- all of the sudden he just did it. Good luck -- anything to do with potty training stresses me out! ;)
So fun. How are they growing up so fast? love your updates. I am trying to be better about healthy living too. You can be my motivation when I think I am too tired to get up and exercise in the morning:)
Thanks for your comment. Your little family is growing so fast. They are so cute!!! Good luck with your healthy challenge. You can do it!!!
