Baby Update

I had an appointment yesterday and our little girl is measuring around 5 lbs. 10 oz. which is right where she should be.  I got to see her profile on the ultrasound and the doctor pointed out hair.  Although, he did the same with Talmage and he didn't have much to speak of.  We'll see!  After doing the non-stress test, checking my blood pressure, checking for dilation and thinning, the doctor deemed me healthy and well.  Right where I should be.  I was open and honest with him about our Hawaii plans and he said, "I think you'll be fine" no hesitation.  I of course quizzed him about the airplane, the water, the chances of going into labor, etc. and came away feeling good about going.  So, tomorrow we are Maui bound!  He did tell me that he didn't want me scuba diving, or jumping/diving off of boats or rocks.  Hmm... I wasn't planning on that anyway.  My mom came with me and I think even she felt better about the idea after the appointment.
For those of you who are worried, let me tell you of my preparation.  I have called my insurance, the airlines, and Leontina.  Leontina is the woman I nannied for.  Not only do they live on Maui (if for some reason I needed a place to stay longer) but her best friend is a nurse midwife.  I have her cell, home, and husbands numbers in case of anything.  I also have the hospital number and location all in my phone.  I am taking my medical chart of this pregnancy.  I will be wearing compression socks on the plane and getting up to walk around at least once an hour.  I don't have plans of getting sunburned or doing any vigorous swimming.  Mainly being in the water to stay cool.  I plan to take a nap with Talmage if needed and so on.  So, I feel pretty prepared.  "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear" So no worries.  I'll be back in a week, go in for my next appointment and finally have some fun pictures to but on this blog.  ALOHA!
